Author Biography

Diane Janes, University of Alberta

Dr. Diane P. Janes, MEd, MBA is an Instructional Designer with the Faculty of Extension, University of Alberta. She has worked most recently as an Educational Developer, an Associate Professor, Education and an Associate Dean, Business. She’s consulted on distance education/e-learning, instructional development and program evaluation in Canada; internationally in Mexico and New Zealand. Her research, presentations and consultations have included faculty development, collaborative online learning, online teaching pedagogy in K-12 and higher education, e-research, e-policy, program evaluation and instructional design. From 2012-2014 Diane served as Vice President / President of the Canadian Network for Innovation in Education (CNIE).
